A Study on the Reasons not to incorporate the Church with the State

So you want to establish a Church?   Where do you begin?   Is it a good idea to incorporate?   If you incorporate is your church still a Sovereign New Testament Church?   Did Churches always have to incorporate and if not how did they exist?

These are just some of the questions that present themselves when starting a Sovereign Church.  In my research it became quickly apparent that starting a church in America has become increasing more difficult.   One has to go about it completely led by the Lord to fulfill the call set before him by The Lord Jesus Christ.   Our Calling has ceased to be defamed; Christianity is no longer fashionable, and we are often the object of ridicule.  We must proclaim that there are absolutes in a world where relativism rules. It is our job to call people to something beyond themselves in a day when self fulfillment has been elevated as the Ultimate God.  We have to be willing to stand for biblical correctness even when it does not fit into the realm of Political correctness.

A Devastatingly Useful Bit of
Important Information

Let me occupy a moment of your time with something of importance. It happened here on campus, too.

After a "Collage of Choirs" performance this afternoon at the university, I went over to their Library to find some information. Later, while sitting in the lobby, reading some material I found, a young woman student approached me to reply to some questions about the Presidential election.

She was interviewing people on their views about the Presidential race, to be published in a student run campus newspaper. And I did reply, and to her absolute astonishment. So I thought you may be interested in this brief discussion, as it relates to an important event occurring next month.

Most people do not know what I am about to relate to you, and when told, even with “proof,” would at first deny it, and then, be stunned at its import and the subsequent impact. Brace yourself.

Most people, as registered voters, believe they elect the President of the United States. Not true; absolutely Not True.

Scripture Reading:  Jude 1:5-7

I have wondered what went on in the days from Adam to Noah; have you?  And there is so little information given about those days in the Bible.  There is over 1600 years of history in the first nine chapters of Genesis.  That’s about 30% of the amount of history from Adam to the present day.  And only nine chapters of Genesis and a lot of these chapters are genealogies!

About the only thing that we know is how long they lived—over 900 years for most of them.  And that doesn’t even make much sense to the average Christian; that the people that they read of in the first nine chapters of Genesis lived over 13 times the average life span of their lives.  And you will fail to find any mention of any of them dying of cancer, diabetes, strokes or heart attacks as we do today. 

Were they our height or were they significantly larger?  How long were their child-bearing years—around 500 years?  Did they travel much?  They certainly didn’t live for 900 years in the same village and not venture any place else.   Could they run 100 miles without much of a rest?  What did they do for recreation?  Did they have gardens or farms?  Who were their enemies?   Was the climate the same as today? Were there people living in all parts of the world?  There are a lot of questions that we are not told the direct, obvious answer to.

Part 1: What was it like in the days before the Flood?  Did the climate change, did countries disappear and we know that the age limit on the descendants was reduced greatly.

Part 2: Are you wondering why it is that very few people believe what we believe?  It is because they don't believe what our God has said about the past that they refuse to believe what He says about the present and future.  We are the remnant believers of this age.
