Both Good and Evil
“have their senses exercised to discern ...” Hebrews 5:14
By Walter Giddings
September 6, 2026
(2 Corinthians 11). This Lesson is sponsored by Section 292 of a Continuing Resolution passed by The House of Representatives, to which they attached a weak version of the Save America Act, just before they lammed out of Washington, District of Criminals, for August 2026 recess!!! (Is recess for children?) Section 292 (as it currently reads before Senate consideration) wrests Command of the Armed Forces of the United States from The Office of the President by placing an Executive in the Pentagon to combine the Intelligence Operations of American Agencies with the Israeli Mossad to make America the vassal state of Israeli. Section 292 appears to be the brainchild of the Prime Minister of Israeli, Netanyahu, and empowers an unconstitutional end run around the duly elected President of the United States ! If anybody within the sound of my voice disagrees with my take on Section 292, please bring your copy of Section 292 to me to show me the error of my ways. Make sure it is the 1st copy passed by the House before August 2026 recess. As the OUTRIGHT RESCUE of Jesus Christ the Righteous I am honor bound to give you a complete hearing. Second Corinthians, chapter eleven, has part of one of the greatest themes of our Bibles. This theme is typically ignored!
(2 Corinthians 11:3-4).
p 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the
serpent beguiled Eve through his sub-
tilty, so your minds should be corrup-
ted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
c 4 For if he that cometh preacheth ano-
ther Jesus, whom we have not preached,
or if ye receive another spirit, which ye
have not received, or another gospel
which ye have not accepted, ye might
well bear with him.
Second Corinthians chapter eleven.
“Ye might well bear with him.” What thoughts, or even questions, arise in your hearts? What does the Apostle Paul mean “ye might well bear with him”? “Bear with” translates the Koine Greek verb, G430 anechomai, an-ekh’-om-ahee; ... (figuratively) put up with: -- bear with, endure, forbear, suffer. The list of translations of the Koine Greek verb G430 anechomai, an-ekh’-om- ahee appears to be a complete list in The Authorized Version 1611 King James Bible, American Version. “Suffer” appears to be in the sense of permit. Does this mean that “if he that cometh” preaches “another Jesus” we might well permit him to continue?! Why [!] would American Israel do this?! Could it be that too many of us have dust on our Bibles?! Could it be that too few of us heed these words from [2 Timothy 2:15] “Study to shew thyself approved unto God ...”? Does Jesus reveal Himself to us in His Own Word? If there is dust on our Bibles, how could we possibly know whether we worship the Jesus of this world, or the Jesus of The Bible? Does the small g god of this world want to blind the minds of men? [2 Corinthians 4:3-4]?
How can we know, as the disciples [students] of Christ, that the Doctrine of “another Jesus” is a Major Doctrine of The Scriptures? Is The Mind of Adam the battleground for the Struggle between the small g god of this world and The Holy Spirit from God? What from The Scriptures demonstrates to every Disciple that The Doctrine of “another Jesus” is in Truth a major Doctrine of The Bible?
Is it True that the beginnings of every Major Doctrine of The Scriptures can be found in The Book of Beginnings, Genesis? In the first Scriptures of this Lesson, our Responsive Reading [Verse 3] do we have a clear Reference to The Book of Genesis? May we reread 2 Corinthians 11:3 in unison?
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the
serpent beguiled Eve through his sub-
tilty, so your minds should be corrup-
ted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Second Corinthians chapter eleven.
“As the serpent beguiled Eve.” How could this reference to Genesis be any clearer? Will we find the beginnings of the Doctrine of “another Jesus” in Genesis? Do we find in Genesis 3:6 what the Apostle John referenced to “all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father, but is of the world”? Classmates, would you read the text of Genesis 3:6, while I respond with the interpolations from [1 John 2:16]?
6 And when the woman saw that the
tree was good for food, [“the lust of
the flesh”] and that it was pleasant to
the eyes, [the lust of the eyes] and a
tree to be desired to make one wise,
[the pride of life] she took of the fruit
thereof and did eat, and gave also un-
to her husband with her; and he did
eat.
Genesis chapter three [First John 2:16].
Why O Why [!] did the woman switch Trees? Did the Apostle Paul speak Truth to the Corinthians: “the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty”? And she was in her forever living body!!! What chance do we, made the weakest of all creatures in Creation from the Fall, have against the devil and the other wicked archangels in Rebellion against God? She corrupted herself from the image of the heavenly down unto the image of the earthy, and from Immortality down unto Mortality, etc., ad infinitum nauseam!!! And Adam likewise corrupted himself also. Were we outdone, outrun, outgunned, to fall from Masters in Dominion to abject slaves of a fallen and failed creation?!
How many Trees were there in the Garden of Eden? Anybody know? Can we receive the Truth there were many? Is [Ezekiel 31] a 2nd Witness to (Mark Genesis 2) that the Trees “in the Garden of God” were many?
How many Trees were there “in the midst” of the Garden? (Genesis 2:9).
9 And out of the ground made the
LORD God to grow every tree that is
pleasant to the sight, and good for
food; the tree of life also in the midst
of the garden, and the tree of know-
ledge of good and evil.
Genesis chapter two.
How many Trees were there “in the midst of the garden”? Were there two Trees in the midst of the Garden? “The midst” translates H8432 tavek, taw’-vek; bisection. Who here remembers from High School Geometry how to take any two-dimensional figure and perform a bisection using your compass? For this exercise did we begin with bisecting a square, then a rectangle, a quadrangle, and a triangle. We would take the pointed end of the compass and pin it onto the midst of one of the borders of the two dimensional [i.e. flat] figure extend the other end of the compass, where the pencil was secured, into a bit beyond the center of the flat figure, and rotate the pencil end to draw a partial sphere. We would put the point on the opposite border and repeat that process. That would leave us two parts of a circle as a clear outline or representation of the midst of the figure. This means that The Word of God hangs an accurate picture in the picture galleries of our mind of the High Point of The Garden! God knows what He has in us: we can recall pictures better than words.
Now, do we understand the basis for the Question, why did the woman switch trees? Did Adam corrupt himself as Eve corrupted herself? Can we see that Adam’s choice ushered The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil into “the heavens and the earth which are now”, [2 Peter 3:7] with Power?!!! Did that Tree have no Power until Adam fell?!
Can we see that God is unlike any earthly composer? God authors in shorthand, meaning he speaks in celestial brevity! His Brevity is with child!(Proverbs 25:2). His Word is pregnant with meaning!
2 It is the glory of God to conceal a
thing : but the honour of kings is to
search out a matter.
Proverbs chapter twenty-five.
(Ecclesiastes 1:13). In his last composition, near the end of mortal life,Solomon wrote these words:
13 And I gave my heart to seek and
search out by wisdom concerning all
things that are done under heaven:
this sore travail hath God given to the
sons of man [H120 Adam, Aw-dawm’] to be
exercised therewith.
Ecclesiastes chapter one.
“This sore travail.” (Colossians 1:9). Does the Apostle Paul in his Epistle to the Colossians reveal His Prayer for our relief from “this sore travail”?
9 For this cause we also, since the
day we heard it, do not cease to pray
for you, and to desire that ye might
be filled with the knowledge of his
will in all wisdom and spiritual un-
derstanding.
Colossians chapter one.
“Filled with the knowledge of his will.” “In all wisdom and understanding.” Does this sound like a welcome sabbath from “this sore travail”?
(Back to Genesis chapter two). Are Trees emblematic of Families? Is The Tree of Life emblematic of Jesus’ Family gathered back to their Creator and Maker? What Family does The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil represent?
Verse 9 that gives us the layout in The Garden occurs right after The LORD God places Adam “whom he had formed” in the Garden. Is one of the 2 Trees a clever counterfeit of the Other? Is one of the 2 Trees a clever imposter of the Other? Is one of the 2 Trees representative of a family that is a counterfeit chosen people? Is one of the 2 Trees representative of a family that is an imposter of the chosen people of God? Would that rebel angel, the Devil, Satan, the Dragon, that old Serpent fail at any opportunity to impersonate The God of our Fathers? Would that rebel angel, the Devil, Satan, the Dragon, that old Serpent fail at any opportunity to counterfeit every meaningful thing the God of our Fathers does?
How easy is it to scam stupid Sheep? [Psalm 23:1] If we are in the flock of a wolf in sheep’s clothing, what defense could we possibly have against our eligibility to give stupid a new name any day of the week? Do we understand our peril? Are we in remembrance of who and what we are? Is membership in Satan’s synagogue a senseless move for any sheep? Is membership in The Good Shepherd’s Flock just plain common sense?
At what does The Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent God of the Bible ever fail? Would Our God fail to give us the means in His Word “to discern both good and evil”, to discern the Genuine from the counterfeit, to discern between The God of Truth and the imposter?
Who (!) on God’s green earth would impersonate God? (Genesis 4:1) Where in our Scriptures do we find someone doing exactly that?!
And Adam knew Eve his wife; and
she conceived, and bare Cain, and
said, I have gotten a man from the
LORD.
Genesis chapter four.
“I have gotten a man from the LORD.” Eve, Adam’s wife, does not say that about Cain’s twin, Abel! (Isaiah 14:14). Does The LORD have the end-time Prophet Isaiah read the mind of someone called “son of the morning” who says, “I will exalt my throne above the stars of God”?
14 I will ascend above the heights of
the clouds; I will be like the most
High.
Isaiah chapter fourteen.
“I will be like the most High.” If you doubt this clear intent to impersonate “the most High God”, examine the Hebrew verb H1819 “be like”, in the sense of resemble, and follow its use in the Hebrew Scriptures. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4). Paul, in his 2nd Epistle to the Corinthians, gives us anther Witness to this false god.
p 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid
to them that are lost:
c 4 In whom the god of this world hath
blinded the minds of them which
believe not, lest the light of the glorious
gospel of Christ, who is the image of
God, should shine unto them.
Second Corinthians chapter four.
“The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not.” Do we see once again that “unbelief” is fatal to “the light of the glorious gospel of Christ” shining unto us? Does this world have a “god” who blinds the minds of unbelievers? Is he a false god? Does this false god impersonate the Ever-living God?
(Back to 2 Corinthians 11:3) Early in our marriage my wife Maggie with the sternest of looks, and in the most emphatic tone, said, “There is only one Jesus; there is no such thing as “another Jesus”!!! If the small “g” “god of this world” impersonates Our Heavenly Father, the God of The Bible, why is it so hard to believe that “another Jesus” impersonates Our Lord and (Revisit Genesis 4:1). Did the serpent impersonate the LORD our God to the woman in the garden while her husband was absent?
And Adam knew Eve his wife; and
she conceived, and bare Cain, and
said, I have gotten a man from the
LORD.
Genesis chapter four.
“I have gotten a man from the LORD.” Did the serpent impersonate the LORD to Adam’s wife? We would be remiss if we failed to take notice that “man” is the English translation for the Hebrew noun H376 ‘iysh, eesh; in the sense of a husbandman. This is not a translation from H120 ‘adam, aw-dawm’. Can direct, lineal, uncorrupted descendants of Adam be husbandmen? Of course! We need only recall that 12 Tribes of Israel were given 12 land allotments in the Land of Milk and Honey to engage in crop and animal husbandry. What most denominational churches fail to teach is that other families beside Adam were also engaged in crop and animal husbandry! [Amos 3:2]. Much more, the English word man is a derivation from the Hebrew word H4327 miyn, meen; kind (or species).
(John 8). In John chapter eight Jesus in several verses was addressing a different kind of people than the rest of the multitude. For example, go to Verse 38. Here Jesus clearly tells them they do not have God as their Father. This is one of a number of Scriptures that declares 2 different Fathers! [For a 2nd Witness to 2 Fathers, consult The Parable of the Tares in Matthew 13.]Scroll down to Verse 41. Here those who do not have God as their Father claim, “we be not born of for- nication.” In Verse 42 Jesus declares “if God were your father” they would bring forth different fruit. In Verse 43Jesus tells them plainly, “ye cannot hear my word.”(!) Is it plain from The Scriptures that only those who fell require Salvation?
(Verse 44). Why does Jesus call the devil a Father?
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and
the lusts of your father ye will do. He
was a murderer from the beginning,
and abode not in the truth, because
there is no truth in him. When he
speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own:
for he is a liar, and the father of it.
John chapter eight.
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do.” Does The LORD God of the Bible choose his words carefully?
(Luke 16:8). Who are “the children of this world”? Are they named as such in the parable of the unjust steward?
8 And the lord commended the un-
just steward, because he had done
wisely: for the children of this world
are in their generation wiser than the
children of light.
Luke chapter sixteen.
“The children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.” Why are “the children of light” at such a distinct disadvantage with the children of this world?! Who are “the children of this world”? Do they fleece and slaughter the sheep?
(Psalms 44:22). Did “the sweet Psalmist of Israel” know who they are? “Thy” has for its antecedent “God”.
22 Yea, for thy sake are we killed all
the day long; we are counted as sheep
for the slaughter.
The Twenty-Second Psalm.
“Sheep for the slaughter.” For God’s sake “are we killed all the day long.”(!)
(Matthew 10:16). Have we seen Jesus knows who they are?
16 Behold I send you forth as sheep
in the midst of wolves: be ye there-
fore wise as serpents and harmless
as doves.
Matthew chapter ten.
“Wise as serpents.” Do wolves and serpents have something in common?
(Matthew 3:7). Did John the Baptist perceive who they are when they came to the Baptism?
7 But when he saw many of the Pha-
risees and Sadducees come to his bap-
tism, he said unto them, O generation
of vipers, who hath warned you to flee
from the wrath to come.
Did John the Baptist perceive serpents among the Pharisees and Sadducees? Verse 8. Did John taunt them?
8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for
repentance.
Matthew chapter three.
Did we see,[John 8:44],Jesus knew who they are? Did Jesus say, “the lusts of your father ye [might] do”? Or did Jesus say, “the lusts of your father ye will do.”
(Matthew 23:33). Did Jesus know the serpents killed the Prophets? Did Jesus spy out their children among the scribes and Pharisees?
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vi-
pers, how can ye escape the damna-
tion of hell?
Matthew chapter twenty-three.
“How can ye escape the damnation of hell?” (Isaiah 26:14) Did the End time Prophet Isaiah know who they are?
14 They are dead, they shall not live;
they are deceased, they shall not rise:
therefore hast thou visited and destro-
yed them, and made all their memory
to perish.
Isaiah chapter twenty-six.
“They shall not rise.” Are these that Isaiah knew “the twice dead”? Is the resurrection for Adamkind only?! Can only those who lost Eternal Life regain Eternal Life? If we come up in the Resurrection naked, our shame apparent for all to see, does that mean the fire can kindle upon us, and we die in the Second Death? Why do so many of Adamkind care nothing for matters of Eternal Importance? Why should we become as “the twice dead”?! Oh, God, help us! Father, if you turn us, we shall be turned!
Did Paul know who “the children of light” are? (1 Thessalonians 5:5). We might want to recall the congregation at Thessalonica is one of two that the Holy Spirit says, in describing local bodies of Christ, as “noble”!
5 Ye are all the children of light, and
the children of the day: we are not of
the night, nor of darkness.
First Thessalonians chapter five.
“Ye are all the children of light.” Does it seem imperative for us to remain in The Good Shepherd’s Flock!
We face a key choice. God has granted unto angels and men “choice”! We face a titanic struggle between two parties whose Issues and Hopes are so completely and diametrically opposed it makes compromise impossible! What compromise can there be between “thou shalt murder” (assassinate!) and Thou shalt not commit murder? What compromise can there be between thou shalt steal from the rich or those we despise and detest as personal enemies, and Thou shalt not steal? What compromise can there be between thou shalt bear false witness against deplorables and village idiots to get rid of them faster, and Thou shalt not bear false witness? What compromise can there be between thou shall covet the houses and women of childbearing age of Caucasians and slaughter all the rest, and Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, maid servants, herds and flocks? Are sour grapes the w(h)ine of life? Who has not heard this whine?! Why can’t we all just get along?! The obvious answer is we are in a war we never declared! Fifty years ago, a proxy of the small “g” gods of this world declared war on Americans wherever in the world they are! And that proxy has proved to the entire world they are genocidal maniacs!!!
“The Battle Belongs to the Lord” and He permits War to knock the fence sitters off the fence! God tests us, so we will know which side we are on! And The God of America will have His Harvest! If you think I am a lunatic to say this, you are not in trouble with me. You are in trouble with The One, The Lord, to whom The Battle belongs! You have accused The Lord of Heaven and Earth of being guilty of the Crime you are already committing!
This LORD is in His Family Business: the Salvation Business, the Forgiveness of Sins Business, the Reconciliation Business, the Adoption Business [return as His Family He lost in the Garden], and the Blessed Assurance Business (because He alone is the God who can Deliver us)! All of this He explains in His Word, The Bible! And American Israel is missing out!
We have time to take a quick look at how much is stacked against the fence sitters! (Genesis 3). To fully appreciate The Peril fence sitters face, we must return to The Book of Genesis wherein every Major Doctrine of The Scriptures has its beginnings. How well did the Woman, alone in The Garden with the serpent, understand about how to discern both good and evil? Was eating from The Tree of Life good? Was eating from The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil evil? We have already shared the Reading in Verse 6. Look at Verses 2-3.
p 2 And the woman said unto the ser-
pent, We may eat of the fruit of the
trees of the garden:
c 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is
in the midst of the garden, God hath
said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither
shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
If the woman had obeyed what she said unto the serpent, would Adam had found her “in the transgression”? In Verses 4-5 the serpent mixes one Lie with a lot of truth. The woman knew that eating from all the Trees of the Garden, except for eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil was good! She confessed also that she knew eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil was Evil! Obedience is obviously Good. And Disobedience is obviously Evil.
Look again at Verse 6. Who can tell me how the woman went from obedience to disobedience?
(Mark Hebrews 5:11). How do we know The General Epistle to the Hebrews is written for, and to us? Do we recall that Abram was called a Hebrew in the land of Canaan? “Father Abraham had many sons, and many sons had Father Abraham. And I am one of them, and so are you. So, let’s just Praise the LORD!”
And the composer of Hebrews has some rude reminders for us, speaking of Jesus:
11 Of whom we have many things to
say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye
are dull of hearing.
“Seeing ye are dull of hearing.” With us being “dull of hearing” how hard would it be to share the Gospel of the Kingdom with the dull of hearing. Would that make it “hard” to share the Gospel? What makes us “dull of hearing”? (Verse 12).
12 For when for the time ye ought to
be teachers, ye have need that one
teach you again which be the first
principles of the oracles of God, and
are become such as have need of milk,
and not strong meat.
Of what have we failed to remain in remembrance?! (Back to Genesis 3). Do we see what the woman did? What changed? Did the woman depart from what she was told was good, and from what she was told was evil?
(1 John 2:16). Did the woman succumb to the lust of her flesh, and to the lust of her eyes, and to the pride of life? And the woman was in her forever-living body! There was no evil in the garden in the world!
16 For all that is in the world, the lust
of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and
the pride of life is not of the Father,
but is of the world.
First John chapter two.
“Is not of the Father.” If we trust in ourselves, that we know what is good and what is evil, are we in unbelief?! Did we see in our Lesson, Enter into His Rest, that unbelief is fatal? Whose ideas about what is good and what is evil are better?
Ours or God’s? Have we at last lost all trust in ourselves? Do we have all our trust in Our Heavenly Father? In the words of that old black and white TV show, Father Knows Best, does Our Heavenly Father know best?
How Precious is the “milk” of The Word of God? (1 Peter 2:2). Should we desire the sincere milk of the word?
2 As newborn babes, desire the sin-
cere milk of the word, that ye may
grow thereby:
First Peter chapter two.
“That ye may grow thereby.” (Return to Hebrews 5). Which one are we on? Milk or Meat?(Hebrews 5:13). Is there good in being a child? Is there good in remaining one?
13 For everyone that useth milk is un-
skilful in the word of righteousness:
for he is a babe.
“Unskillful in the word of righteousness.” The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil has been in this fallen world now for millennia!Adam also corrupted himself! If the serpent beguiled the woman while she was in her forever-living body, what chance do we, as direct lineal descendants of Adam, have in The Fall? Was Adam’s Transgression so primeval Evil that it required the shed blood of the only Sinless man, that ever trod the earth, to rescue us! In our fallen condition how could we possibly “have our senses exercised to discern both good and evil”? (Verse 14).
14 But strong meat belongeth to them
that are of full age, even those who by
reason of use have their senses exerci-
sed to discern both good and evil.
Hebrews chapter five.
Are we “of full age”? Does “strong meat” belong to us? “By reason of use” of “strong meat” have we had our “senses exercised to discern both good and evil”?
We began this Lesson, Both Good and Evil, with The Word of Scripture found in 2 Corinthians 11:(Return to 2 Corinthians 11:3-4). We must not fail to ask ourselves a very important Question. Shall we review our Responsive Reading?
p 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the
serpent beguiled Eve through his sub-
tilty, so your minds should be corrup-
ted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
Are we “of full age”? Have we had “our senses exercised to discern both good and evil”? Shall we test ourselves?
4 For if he that cometh preacheth ano-
ther Jesus, whom we have not preached,
or if ye receive another spirit, which ye
have not received, or another gospel,
which ye have not accepted, ye might
well bear with him.
Second Corinthians chapter eleven.
Does The Apostle Paul say, “We have not preached … another Jesus”? Does he say, “Ye have not received ... another spirit”? Does he say, “ye have not accepted ... another gospel”? But (!) does The Apostle Paul say, “if he that cometh preacheth another ... ye might well bear with him.” What does that mean?! Does that mean we “mightwell” get bamboozled, cheated, connived, cozened, defrauded, deluded, duped, embezzled, ensnared, finessed, fleeced, fooled, gulled, hoaxed, hoodwinked, humbugged, inveigled, lured, misled, outwitted, pranked, robbed, rooked, rubed, snared, suckered, swindled, taken in, took, tricked, and victimized?! With Sheep, eligible any day of any week of any month of any year to give stupid a new name, is it like torturing babies for the fun of it?! Who is this “he that cometh”? Does “the (small g) god of this world” blind “the minds of them which believe not”?
(2 Thessalonians 2:8-9). Will “the (small g) god of this world” counterfeit/impersonate the Second Coming of Jesus Christ? Will the Second Coming of Jesus Christ destroy the god of this world’s coming?
8 And then shall that Wicked be re-
vealed, whom the Lord shall consume
with the spirit of his mouth, and shall
destroy with the brightness of his
coming :
9 Even him, whose coming is after the
work of Satan with all power and signs
and lying wonders,
Second Thessalonians chapter two.
We began our Lesson, Both Good and Evil, with Section 292 of a Continuing Resolution enacted by the House of Representatives before they lammed out of The District of Criminals for August 2026 Recess. Have we seen That Old Deluder, “the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan” [Revelation 20:2] has not failed to impersonate God? Has he failed to counterfeit every meaningful thing God does? Has he failed to corrupt any part of Creation? Has he failed to set up a counterfeit chosen people?!!! Will Section 292 install God’s Chosen People in The Pentagon? Or will Section 292 install members of Satan’s Synagogue in The Pentagon?!!! Did we just now ask ourselves The Forbidden Question?
