Scripture Reading:  2 Chronicles 30:1-9

Overall Lesson: Discussion of the Passover Lamb, the Passover Supper and the Crucifixion.  Available in Audio only. The following verses are explored:

Exodus 4:21-23; 29-31  God hardened Pharoahs heart. There's a reason God might bring you someone who has a hardened heart.

Exodus 5:20-23  Pharoah got harder on the Hebrews.  Moses questioned God.  We have to understand and accept that God is in control and his timing is perfect.

Exodus 6:1-8

Psalm 51:10-13 We're supposed to take the Bible to our brethren in gentleness and love, without judgement.  We don't know what people don't know.

Matthew 13:13-17 Parable where the eyes were closed and the hearts hardened.  God hardened Pharoah's heart, and He does at times that serves a specific purpose.  People today have hardened their own hearts.

Acts 28:26-27  It's not what we do, but rather the Word of God that opens people's eyes. His Word speaks to us and allows us to grow in Christian maturity.  Our people go into bondage because they don't read and obey.  They think infant baptism or an altar call is all they is the ticket into heaven and that they don't have to grow as a Christian.

Passover

Exodus 12:21-28  The Hebrews obeyed and put lamb's blood on their doors, which delivered them.  They were given orders and they obeyed.  Today they would probably be more resistant.

1 Samuel 15:22-24  HEARKEN and OBEY.  Saul feared people more than he feared God, and he disobeyed God and lost his kingship. It happens today where we fear people more than we fear God.  We have to trust God and not lack faith.

Passover Meal

Matthew 26:17-29

Leviticus 7:10-11  We are not to eat or drink blood.  Transubstantiation is WRONG! Catholic priests think they have power and therefore they can control the people in the church.

Crucifixion

Matthew 26:36-39  Jesus seperated Himself from His disciples and prepared for what was coming (sacrifice of the Lamb).  After the resurrection, the disciples didn't fear death.

Matthew 26:51-56  v. 53:  Jesus tells them He has the ability to fight what was to come, however He would not do so because the Scriptures must be fulfilled.

Isaiah 36:35:36  One angel destroyed 185,000 Assyrians

1 Corinthians 8:5  God is the ONLY living god.

1 Corinthians 3:4-7  It is God who calls people and builds the church. Don't follow just one pastor.  Many men can contribute to our knowledge and make us grow as Christians.

Isaiah 51:2-3; 7  Don't be afraid.  Remember who we are and who He is.
