The Life of David
by Pastor Don Elmore
Part 1: Shammah Do you know any of the names of the top five mighty men in Daviid's army? They accomplished some "mighty" feats.
Part 2: Abiathar David was a man who suffered more for things that he was innocent of that of what he was guilty. How did he handle it? Do we handle the same things the same way in our churches?
Part 3; Nabal and Abigail God tested David many times before he actually became king of Israel. Would David rely strictly on the LORD God to take his avenge of those who accused him of wrongdoing, when he was completely innocent. Sometimes David passed and sometimes he failed.
Part 4: Israel was at a very low point. Saul continued to seek out and destroy David, even to a point of seeking a member of the occult on an upcoming battle in Philistine territory. David and his army had resided in Philistine territory for 16 months and the king of the Philistines thought that for that protection, David would be his servant forever. David was going to have to make the decision on whether or not he was going to fight with the Philistines against his own people. He chose a different solution to fighting against Saul's army, with God's help.
